About Me
Loved horses since the first time I smelled one at 2 years old. There is something that only a horse lover, (or one who at least appreciates the incredible beauty that is the horse),finds in the wonderful smell of the equine beast. II have 3 kids (who have kids who have kids).. My four year old grandaughter Crystal is already riding her first pony "Spirit" who is only 35 inches at the withers. I worked as a singer for many years and wrote childrens songs with my husband John, (about animals of course), and even had a TV show called THE KANGAZOO CLUB that you can look up on google if you want to see if I'm telling the truth!! I'm a Registered Nurse (RN) now and even though I've had a hip replacement my energy has not dimished with age. If my patient has broken their hip I do a little dance for them and tell them about my horses, while they are waiting for surgery. It seems to give them confidence that they will be able to participate in their physical hobbies after therapy. And as everyone should....Do your exercises to increase your strength and balance. The take home message is: Keep learning, keep fit , keep active: and you will keep enjoying your life as I do. Hi Nancy,
Benny was 3 when I got him and that was almost 4 years ago. I am so glad you are enjoying him. For the first 2 weeks after he left, Dakota wouldn't come near anyone. She has come around again and is in a better mood these days. We haven't moved yet. June 23rd is the big day. We have been doing packing here and there but still have a ton of stuff to do. I am off for a week starting tomorrow so hopefully we will get the majority done then. How are things with you guys? Michelle |
