One Year and counting

Posted on March 6, 2010 at 7:13 PM

It has now been one whole year since we started our web site and I am amazed that  we have had almost 3000 visitors. Thanks to the power of google and other search engines we have heard from horse people in more than 40 different countries. Nancy and I have had a lot of fun replying to emails and visiting hundreds of web sites made by equestrians that just want to show off their 4 legged buddies or direct us to their youtube videos. We want to thank all of you for sharing your love of the sport.

Another fringe benefit is that several people from our distant past have tracked us down and old friendships have been renewed. It would never have happened if not for this site. We should have done it years ago.

Last week we started tunning up our horses and ourselves for the upcoming season. The weather has been great and we are planning a trail ride in the next week or two. Satin has blossemed over the winter and looks better every day. I know that Nancy is just chomping at the bit to get back in to the show ring. She has also started coaching a couple of riders and training several horses. It's funny how easy it is to get deeper and deeper back into the all things equine. We thought that we would be satisfied with devoting all our time to the photography business but I should have known better. We have even considered selling the house and buying a small hobby farm. The more things change: the more they stay the same.:)

Happy trails to you and stay safe out there,

John

Nice Babe...but I'm going to have to go to Dr. Berstein and lose the 25 lbs I've gained in the last two months. I was all ready to ride Satin and since I'm 5'1 and she is 16:1 and a bit....I just couldn't get up on her last saturday. Seriously if your having trouble getting your balance and feeling in tune with your horse and you have gained a teeny tiny scrap of weight. GET IT OFF and enjoy your riding again. This wasn't all for you babe but I don't get to blog like you and I just have to pass this little tid bit on to other lazy riders like me, who rode the couch all winter instead of their horse.
